MANILA, Philippines — More secrets will be unveiled as the new season of the Disney+ K-drama series “A Shop for Killers” is set to reveal more of Murthehelp and Babylon’s thirst for blood.
After learning more about his uncle’s past, Jung Ji-an (Kim Hye-jun) has mustered up the courage to fight back and defend Murthehelp.
In a turn of events, Jeong Jin-man (Lee Dong-wook) is still alive, and he will be followed by more trouble.
The second season of “A Shop for Killers” follows more of what has happened to Jin-man when he is presumed dead and what lies ahead as Ji-an decides to leave all the things behind.
Presumed dead?
Last season, many viewers were left on a cliffhanger: how did Jin-man manage to still be alive? Well, the opening salvo of the show gave us a glimpse of what happened to the legendary mercenary and how he now has a bigger plan to seek justice.
To put things into perspective, Jin-man has had enough of Bale’s (Jo Han-sun) schemes of killing people.
But when he left Babylon, his family was killed and their sudden deaths were not suspiciously plotted, pointing it to their leader Lee Yong-han (Ahn Gil-kang).
More than his family, Jin-man also saw the unjust killings like the fellow women with So Min-hye (Geum Hae-na) during one of their missions.
With this, Jin-man now has a bigger plan to unveil the secrets of Babylon, seek justice for his family and protect Ji-an.
Viewers will meet new allies of Jin-man that will help him along the way to take down Babylon.
Followed by action
Feeling overwhelmed by the secrets of his uncle, Ji-an decides to leave all the past behind and start a new life.
Despite all the convincing Jin-man has made, feeling that being beside his niece would be safer, Ji-an feels it would be better for her to take some time to breathe.
Ji-an now lives in the province near the ocean as Arin in the hopes of getting away from trouble.
However, the protagonist is still living the horrors of Seong-jo (Seo Hyun-woo) after killing him for attempting to murder her in taking over the shop.
She has met Woojin (Yoo Hyeon-soo), a member of the new community she lives in. He tries to befriend her after she has woken up from a nightmare.
Ji-an has broken her phone and gone to the city to fix it, but she has failed to catch the ship going back to the province. She asks Woojin for help and the boy immediately rescues her.
Things have been smooth sailing despite the rain, but when the coast guard has appeared, Woojin panicks.
Ji-an becomes more skeptical of who Woojin is, and what his intentions are as he has thrown away guns in the ocean.
A bigger threat is also on the way as Ji-an is going full force to take Babylon down.
New episodes of “A Shop for Killers” are available weekly on Disney+.
